About Dr. Durwood A. Nowell, Jr.

Durwood A. Nowell Jr. DMD has practiced general dentistry since June 1975. A native of the Wiregrass, he graduated from Headland High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the School of Dentistry University of Alabama Birmingham in 1970. After dental school, he went on to serve as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Army, serving three years and leaving active duty as a Major.

He values the relationships he’s grown with patients over the years. He also has two children he likes visiting and spending time with. If he’s not in the chair serving patients or visiting with family, you’ll find him on a nearby golf course or relaxing at the beach.

Married to a Dothan native, Dr. Nathan Pfister has been practicing dentistry for almost 10 years in the Wiregrass region. After a few years in Hawaii and five more in Upland, CA where he bought, grew and sold a practice, Dr. Pfister moved to Dothan where he’s spent the last 9 years starting and growing multiple successful practices and mentoring other dentists..

Dr. Brooke Bell

Born and raised in Southwest Georgia, Dr. Brooke Bell graduated as salutatorian of the Bainbridge High School Class of 2014. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from the University of Georgia, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Bell attended the Dental College of Georgia where she was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, an invitation based society extended to the top 10% of each graduating class.
